Kelvin Hampton Sr. has made a significant impact in the northeast Houston community and Houston Metropolitan area. Born as the second of five children to Mr. Lee Hampton & Ms. Eva Hampton, Kelvin has always been an enterprising leader with a strong sense of family values. He has been married to his loving wife Stacie for more than 30 years, and together they have two incredible children – daughter Kelci Hampton and son Kelvin Hampton Jr.
Kelvin, a two-year letterman at Kashmere High School, played basketball under the guidance of the legendary Coach Frankie Brazos and helped the team win the Houston JC Tournament in 1983. Brazos (along with assistant coaches Danny Thomas & Joel North) imparted valuable basketball skills and strategies to Kelvin during his time at Kashmere. Kelvin, along with his brother Randy, received a basketball scholarship to attend Morgan State University on the east coast and play for Coach Nathaniel Frazier. Kelvin attributes his appreciation for teamwork and leadership to Frazier’s mentorship, principles that he still values and utilizes to this day.
As the CEO of A Better Bail Bond, Kelvin’s visionary leadership has been showcased by the longevity and expansion of the business, as well as numerous community initiatives to help those who are in need. Under Kelvin’s leadership, A Better Bail Bond has worked with local schools to provide resources to students in need, and he has partnered with other organizations to address issues such as homelessness and hunger. Kelvin has exhibited a personal and professional commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. His desire to help is further displayed as he disciples others to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. As an Elder and Pastor of Evangelism at Connecting Fellowship Church, Kelvin exemplifies his strong faith and spreads love and hope to those around him.
Despite his many accomplishments, Kelvin remains humble and grounded. He credits his success to his faith, his family, and his community. He knows that he wouldn’t be where he is today without the support of those around him, and he is always looking for ways to give back. Whether through his work at A Better Bail Bond or his involvement in community initiatives, Kelvin continues to be a beacon of hope and inspiration to all those around him.
