Zerick Rollins

Zerick Rollins is a class of 1993 Kashmere High School graduate.  While he participated in multiple sports he excelled most in football as he was a perennial All-District selection at defensive end.   He also was named to the All-Greater Houston Team, was a Houston Touchdown Club Defensive Finalist, and was a Super Prep All-American in his senior season.   He was awarded a full athletic scholarship to Texas A&M University where he was a two-starter on the highly acclaimed Wrecking Crew Defense.   In his senior season, he was elected Team Captain and was awarded the Academic Achievement Award given to the student-athlete who excelled in both academics and athletics  

Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Zerick entered graduate school and started his career in coaching.  He served as a graduate assistant coach for three years before advancing to N.F.L. where he coached 9 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.  In 2005 he was a part of the staff that led the Seahawks to their first-ever Super Bowl in Super Bowl XL.   

Zerick continued his career in athletics by returning to Texas A&M in 2011 as Player Development for the Athletic Department.  Currently, he continues to train, mentor, and develop young men with college aspirations through Football University Teaching Academy and he has spent the last 9 years working in the Medical Field as an Executive Sales Representative.

Zerick is married to his best friend Chandra who is also a Kashmere and Texas A&M graduate.   He is a proud father of 6 beautiful and talented kids – Zerick Jr., Adanna, Zeriah, Zenae, Zachary, and Zion
