Friends, Romans, Countrymen… Lend me your ears these are the words of the speech that Randy recited as a student in school, yet still goes around saying today. Randy was a standout when he gave this speech and continues to be a standout as he makes a significant impact in the northeast Houston community and Houston Metropolitan area. Randy has always found a way to stand out, no matter the people, places, or situations.

. Academically, Randy stood out as he excelled as a student-athlete, attending Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland on a full basketball scholarship coached by Nat Frazier. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics while remaining dedicated to his sport. Later, he channeled his love of teaching and mentoring by coaching youth sports, tutoring struggling students and supporting educational initiatives.

He stands out as a devoted father of two sons—Randy Hampton Jr. and Ramsey Hampton, who he has encouraged and supported in their many academic, sports, Boy Scout and educational endeavors. Now that they are thriving in their respective careers, he has channeled his love of helping youth into being a Coach and Teacher. His dedication to the students he teaches and the players he mentors is evidenced by the passion and dedication that is displayed every time he coaches a game, runs a practice, tutors a struggling student or neighbors who just doesn’t get math.

Randy stood out as he worked with his brother and Dad to build A Better Bail Bond into a solid company that has served the community for 35 years.  They have provided work for many in the community, and also supported and spearheaded numerous community initiatives and projects to help underserved youth throughout the city.

Although Randy stands out amid whatever project, job, or family event he may be a part of, he leads with humility and relies on his faith to offer the best to others. He genuinely loves and cares for people and has a special place in his heart for youth. His life and his commitment to serving others make him a STANDOUT that should be looked upon by others as a model for leadership, tenacity, and faith.
