Carl Randle

Entering into the large legacy left behind from his siblings, Carl is the last of six to enroll at Kashmere High School in 1981.  He quickly adjusted to the competitive athletic standard that the Kashmere coaches placed upon each athlete. Carl was a two sport varsity player, in basketball and baseball, under the guidance of the late, great Frankie Brazos and Danny Thomas, in basketball.  Baseball coaches were, the late Dave Warren and Oscar Ogilvie.

Due to an unforeseen knee injury in basketball, Carl concentrated on baseball earning a college scholarship to Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas.  Carl played three years at Huston Tillotson University before signing with the Texas Rangers Organization in 1988. While pitching for the Texas Rangers, his achievements were throwing two no hitters and being blessed to have had a fastball over 96 MPH.

After finishing his professional career Carl returned to Huston-Tillotson University and earned his Bachelor of Art Degree in Physical Education with a Minor is English.  A longtime promise he told his mother he would do once baseball was over. 

Carl’s current profession is truck driving with Southeastern Freight Lines with over 25 years of trucking experience. Carl is the son of the late James and Helen Randle.

Carl is a faithful member and Usher at True Light Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.  His hobby is playing Senior Softball. Carl has been married to his college sweetheart Donna for nearly 25 years and they have two wonderful children, Carl II and Carra Randle.
