Dr. Shaunda M. Thomas, PharmD, MPharm, RPh

Dr. Shaunda M. Thomas, PharmD, MPharm, RPh is a proud 1992 graduate of Kashmere Senior High School, where she served as Cheer Captain during her senior year and was a dedicated cheerleader from 1989 to 1992. She graduated ranked number 11 in her class, placing in the top 5% of her peers. During her time at Kashmere, she was honored as Class Favorite and Most Popular in 1992, and actively involved as a member of the Mademoiselles and Student Council. She also held several court titles including Sophomore Court (1989โ€“1990), Junior Court (1990โ€“1991), and 2nd Runner-Up for Miss Kashmere (1991โ€“1992). She is the daughter of Floyd J. Mills (deceased, 2022) and Harriet M. Mossโ€”both graduates of Kashmere Senior High School, Class of 1972 and 1973 respectively. Her familyโ€™s deep ties to Kashmere include three aunts and one uncle who are also proud alumni, reflecting a multigenerational legacy of excellence rooted in community, education, and pride.

She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University in 1999, followed by a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy from the University of Florida in 2021. In 2024, she completed her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Howard University, further solidifying her commitment to advancing healthcare and health equity.

Dr. Thomas was initiated into Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Delta Theta Chapter at Texas Southern University in 1996, and in Spring 1999, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated through the Delta Gamma Chapter at Texas Southern University. She is also a Charter Member and past 2nd Vice President of the North Harris County Alumnae Chapter, where she continues to serve with distinction.

Her pharmacy career spans more than 25 years and includes roles as a Pharmacy Manager/District Leader with Walgreens (2001โ€“2010), an independent community-based Pharmacist In Charge at Bretshire Pharmacy (2010โ€“2018), a Pharmacy Instructor (2019โ€“2023), and currently as a Clinical Pharmacist with Harris Health. Her work reflects a deep dedication to patient care, mentorship, and community wellness.

Dr. Thomas is a devoted member of Fallbrook Church, where she continues to grow in faith and service. She has been married to Dr. Jarvis P. Thomas since 2000. Together, they are the proud parents of two daughters, Sydney Thomas and Lauren Thomas, and share their home with her beloved mother Harriet M. Mills, along with two cherished dogs, Charlie and Max.

It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school.
