Alfred James Godine

 Alfred James Godine was born on February 16, 1962 in Houston, Texas. Alfred attended Key Junior High School and continued his education at Kashmere Senior High School as a standout student-athlete and graduated in 1980.  He played basketball for the Kashmere Rams under the leadership of Coach Frankie Brazos and assistant coach Danny Thomas, where they won the 1980 State 4A Championship. Alfred’s dream was to play with some of his opponents that attended other junior high schools, with the expectations of one day winning a state title with those guys.

Alfred continued his education after Kashmere at Tyler Junior College, Texas College and Laredo Junior College where he graduated and played on the number one team in the nation in the 1982-83 season.

Some of Alfred’s accomplishments in his basketball career include:

  • All Jaycee Tournament 1979
  • All District 1980
  • All City 1980
  • All State Tourney 1980

Hobbies include:

  • Tennis
  • Softball
  • Repair and Research information on Computers

Alfred’s family tree includes 3 sisters, 1 brother, 4 children, including 10 grandkids and host of nieces and nephews whom all are dear to his heart.

As former students we’re a part of this legacy and KFAA greatly value your contribution to our history. It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school.
