Chacaselon Michelle Bolton is a proud multi-talented, intelligent Class of 1988 student-athlete. Her proud parents are Anthony Roberson, and the late Magdalene Bolton Johnson. Chacaselon is the oldest of her mother’s 5 children, 3 brothers and one sister. Chacaselon is the proud parent of her only son Anthony Kinzale Bolton. She was born and raised in Kashmere Gardens, where she attended Sanderson Elementary, Francis Scott Key Middle School, and Kashmere Senior High School. She was an intelligent student, graduating in the top 10% of her 1988 class, was voted Most Athletic Girl, and the Sergeant at Arms on the Student Council. She was a varsity athlete for 3 years in Volleyball, Basketball, and Tennis. In all three sports she made First Team All-District. Chacaselon received a full ride athletic scholarship from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff where she attended from fall 1988 until spring 1991 and she has been a member of the Lambda Nu Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated for 30 years. She left UAPB to continue her education closer to home in Dallas, Texas at Paul Quinn College. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Texas History.
Currently, she is pursuing her love of education and children. Chacaselon has been employed by Houston Independent School District for over twenty-seven years; she has served HISD as a science and math teacher, volleyball and basketball coach, Lead Teacher and a 3-time winner as Teacher of the Year from John F. Kennedy Elementary. Her passion for youth and education has allowed her to enhance, provide strategic direction, and support educational excellence to all of the young loves she has encountered. Her Honest belief is that all children can learn with lots of love and respect.
Chacaselon attributes her love for sports and leadership to her mentors, Coach Harris (volleyball), Coach Oscar O’Gilvie (Basketball), Coach Dunham (basketball) and all of her teachers and administrators who inspired her to strive for excellence and have fun while working hard.
Chacaselon is a member of Bethany Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Steve Hall. At Bethany Baptist Church she is taught to believe “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
