Craig Curry

Craig Curry Attending Kashmere High School, I participated in track as a team member on the 4×400 relay and was a defensive back on the football team. Academically, I graduated from Kashmere High School, ranked #5 out of 500, in the class of 1980. As a result of incredible coaches, great teammates, and a loving family, I earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin.

Attending the University of Texas at Austin, I obtained a BBA Degree in Engineering Route to Management. I also became a lifetime member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. After a 4 year academic and athletic undertaking, in 1984, I was drafted into the NFL in the 4th round by the Indianapolis Colts. In the NFL, I played 1 year with the Colts and 3 years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After playing 4 years in the NFL, injuries forced me to retire.

I transitioned from the NFL to the corporate world as a stockbroker for Shearson Lehman Brothers/American Express. In addition, I obtained my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license and eventually started my own financial planning company, Opulent Management.

I retired from financial planning in 2011 and I currently reside in Houston and remain an active member of my community.
