Elroy Potts, Jr.

Elroy Potts, Jr., an active member of the National Honor Society with a passion for Football. Acquired the All-District, All-City Running Back status in 1977 afterwards attended Texas A & M University majoring in Finance. Elroy presently plays a key role with ILA Clerks and Checkers at the Port of Houston Authority. He is responsible for implementing International Trade for the United States. Coordinating the Import and Export of Cargo Containers at the Barbourโ€™s Cut Terminals.
The Potts family has a long career in the Horse Racing Industry. Elroy is a successful Quarter Horse Owner and Trainer. Winning the title of Champion Quarter Horse Trainer at Delta Downs in Vinton, Louisiana in 1999 was one of his greatest accomplishments. He has also won Trainer of the Week many times over a 5 year time span in Texas at Sam Houston Race Park.
With Christ being the head of his life, for over 43 years now Elroy has multi-tasked his responsibilities at the Port and Potts Racing Stables. Elroy is an active member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.elro

It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school. KFAA will develop partnerships and apply our energies and resources toward a better athletic program.
