Coach Henry L. Stevenson lettered in baseball at Texas Southern University, before coming to Kashmere as baseball and basketball coach. He never coached a losing baseball season during his career at Kashmere. Retired as baseball coach in 1970 to move into an administrated position. His proudest moments were winning the 1965 state baseball title, as Kashmere beat Dallas Moore in three games behind the strong pitching of Larry Washington and the hitting of Willie Jones.
