Herman Ary, Jr.

 

Herman Ary Jr.  in his time at Kashmere High School was a three-sport letterman in Football (Coach Kirby Jones), Basketball (Coach Franke Brazos), and Track (Coach Thomas Lester.) His additional accomplishments include 1st team All-district, All HISD and All-Greater Houston in football, where he also led the Houston area in interceptions (10). Herman was also selected Houston Area player of the week multiple times. Upon his graduation, Herman held the records for the longest punt return for a touchdown; longest interception return for a touchdown, longest touchdown in school history at 101 yards, single-season interception return yards.  Herman also held the title of President of FBLA and was an active member of FHA and FCA and was a UIL Keyboarding regional finalist.

Herman attended Texas Southern University on a full football scholarship where he played four years of collegiate football. In the fall of 1999, he earned his BA with a major in Business Management and Administration. Herman has used his education and experiences in his 18-year career in retail management ranging from big-box retail to oil and gas retail. His accomplishments during his span as a retail manager range from the employee of the month, store of the year, store of the trimester and two-time finalist for the store manager of the year.  He currently serves as a retail manager for the Circle K cooperation.  The store in which Herman serves as Manager has been the top-ranked store in the area 5 times since he began his leadership role.

A true competitor at heart, he loves to attend sporting events, play board games and spend time with his family. Herman currently is a member of the New Life Baptist Church where he serves in a leadership role as the president of the Brotherhood.  He and his wife, Samantha have been married for over ten years and have three beautiful children.

It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school.
