Inger Kindle

Inger Kindle is an honors graduate of the Kashmere Class of 1991. While at Kashmere, Inger was a National Cheer Association finalist in 1989 and 1990, served as co-captain in 1991, and was voted โ€œMost Spiritedโ€ and โ€œBest Form.โ€ Inger was also a decorated track athlete and captain of the girls team. She earned accolades of District Champion and Regional Qualifier in the 100m hurdles in both 1990 and 1991. Inger credits her success in cheer to her sponsor, Lashay Walkes, and her track success to her coaches Lester, Dunham, and Howard. In addition to athletic experiences, Inger graduated in the top 10 percent of her class and was voted โ€œMost Popularโ€ in 1991. She was also a member of the Royal Court in 1989, 1990, and 1991. Inger also served as an officer of Kayla Phi Beta Mademoiselles, was a member of the yearbook staff, Concert Choir, and won the district-wide Biology Project competition with the support of the late Mr. David Warren. Inger continues to be an active participant in the Kashmere community as current President of the Alumni Class of 1991.

After graduation, Inger attended the School of Cosmetology at Houston Community College (the Kashmere campus) and Texas Southern University. She developed her love for cosmetology by finding joy in styling her friends and supporting them to look their best.  For the last 29 years, Inger has been a licensed hairstylist and salon owner as a platform stylist and master of precision cuts. In 2001, Inger was voted Best Hair Stylist in Houston. When Inger is not working, she uses her crafting, cooking, and decorating gifts to support her friends and families. Inger is also an active member of Higher Dimensions Church.

Inger has been married to her high school sweetheart, Mr. Kenneth Kindle (โ€˜91), for the last 26 years. Together, they have three phenomenal sons, Kameron Kindle, a graduate of Prairie View A&M and a current banking analyst, Kienan Kindle, a graduate of Prairie View A&M and a mechanical engineer, and Kyle Kindle, a student at Sam Houston University and an aspiring actor. Inger is grateful to have been raised by two loving parents, Franklin and Katie Stevens. She credits her parents for all her accomplishments and continues to be blessed by her fatherโ€™s presence as her biggest supporter. Inger dedicates this humbling honor to her late mother, who led by example and continues to be her role model.
