Jarrett Scales

Jarrett Scales is a 1987 Kashmere graduate. Jarrett was two time first team All-District at running back, cornerback, and kicker. He was a member of the All-State Team in 1987 as a Defensive Back.  Jarrett also was listed in the Houston Area Top 100 players his senior year. Jarrett was recruited by head coach Fred Akers to attend Purdue University and graduated with a degree in Supervision in 1991. He returned home to open Triple Jโ€™s Smokehouse in the community in which he was raised. Jarrett and wife Rhonda met at Purdue in 1990 where she was pursuing her degree in Elementary Education. After graduation she moved to Houston to teach and continue her education at Texas Southern University. In 1996 they married and decided that Rhonda should come aboard and open the catering side of the business. Jarrett and Rhonda are the โ€œpeacockโ€ proud parents of Jalen and Dylan Scales. The boys are active athletes at their schools and AAU basketball club. Jarrett has been a coach for his son and the Gulf Coast Blue Chips for several years and has won enough medals and trophies to fill an entire trophy case
