Rosie Mae Harvey

Rosie Mae Harvey was born in Washington- on the Brazos Texas on October 11, 1954(Former the Capital of Texas). She graduated from Kashmere Senor High School with the Class of 1973. I played Volleyball under the direction of Mrs Qzell Harris a legendary coach in her own right. My senior year I was voted as Most Athletic Female by my class peers. I was a member of the National Honor Society, Whoโ€™s Who in America and was on the Honor Roll.

After graduating I attended HCC-Jones Campus, San Jacinto Jr College-Uvalde Campus and TSTC in Waco, Texas. Courses of studies were English, Accounting, Electrical and Robotics. I retired from TDCJ in 2012 and currently am the proud owner and CEO of The Intersection LLC which includes several businesses Rosieโ€™s Enterprise, Income Tax Service, Washhouse, Quick Fixin Electric, and Juanita Kitchenโ€™s (named in honor of my mother). Iโ€™m the landlord of five rent houses and own and manage 34.5 acres of land.

Iโ€™m a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend Benjamin Martin, a member of the Mass Choir and serves as Choir Director. I enjoy sports volleyball, football, softball, bowling, dancing and solving jigsaw puzzles. Iโ€™m a divorce  with two sons Amid and Rashead who has provided me with six grandchildren Tyโ€™Yamal, Alaysia, Kyleigh,  Angel, Rashead Jr, Kemanni and one great-grand Aria McGuire this is my family, my world, my joy. My mentor was Mr. Thaddeus Gunter, Sr so kind, wonderful and so full of positive advice and knowledge, the love of my life, missing you.

Individually, we as former student-athletes and cheerleaders personify Kashmere traditions and are an integral part of the ongoing success of our current program. As former students weโ€™re a part of this legacy and KFAA greatly value your contribution to our history. It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school. KFAA will develop partnerships and apply our energies and resources toward a better athletic program.
