Billie Matthews

 

Billie Matthews: Led Southern University to a 12-0 season as a freshman quarterback and the 1948 NAIA National Championship. His career record at Southern was 37-4. Kashmere head football coach from 1957 to 1970 before accepting coaching assignment at the University of Kansas, moving on to UCLA. Afterward entering the professional ranks, and coaching with the 49ers, Eagles, Colts, Chiefs and Lions before retiring in 1995

Individually, we as former student-athletes and cheerleaders personify Kashmere traditions and are an integral part of the ongoing success of our current program. As former students weโ€™re a part of this legacy and KFAA greatly value your contribution to our history. It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school. KFAA will develop partnerships and apply our energies and resources toward a better athletic program.
