Dexter Foreman was a standout varsity quarterback for the Kashmere Rams, earning his starting position as a sophomore under the leadership of Head Coach Johnny B. Felder. During his high school career, 1981-1983, Dexter’s talent, leadership, and field vision set him apart, earning him recognition as All-District, All-Greater Houston Quarterback, and Pre-season Texas Blue Chip selection. His years at Kashmere High School instilled in him a deep sense of pride, perseverance, and determination; lessons that shaped his character both on and off the field. He often credits his Kashmere experience for teaching him to fight until the clock hits zero, a mindset that carried him throughout his life’s journey.
Following his success at Kashmere, Dexter continued his football career at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he became the starting quarterback as a freshman for the Mighty Bears. Beyond the field, Dexter built a respected career in high school athletics, serving for decades as a mentor, and leader. His coaching produced numerous players who went on to compete at both the collegiate and professional levels. Now retired from athletics, Dexter continues to pour into his community through mentorship and faith. He is a proud resident of Pearland, TX and a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan, still holding out hope for that long-awaited Super Bowl victory.
Dexter has been married to his wife for 35 years, and together they have raised a family grounded in faith, education, and love. They are the proud parents of children who, collectively, have earned ten college degrees, a reflection of the values of hard work, discipline, and perseverance he has modeled throughout his life. Dexter expresses his heartfelt gratitude to his family, coaches, mentors, and former teammates who have played meaningful roles in his journey. His legacy is one of leadership, humility, and service—a true son of Kashmere who continues to make his alma mater proud.
