Farrah Tillmon Wilson was born in Houston, Texas to parents Ray Tillmon and the late Alice Faye Knight Tillmon. As her parents were Kashmere High School (Class of 1969) alumnus, Farrah continued the family legacy and attended Kashmere High School from 1991-1995. After earning her first degree from the University of Houston (Downtown), she moved to Miami, Florida to explore a career opportunity as a project manager. After successfully working in the business arena and meeting the love of her life, she was called to serve a higher purpose and decided to follow her passion and pursue a career in the field of education. Farrah Wilson has been happily married for 20 years to Paul V. Wilson, and together they are the proud parents of two talented sons, Triston and Trent Wilson.ย
Education
Farrah graduated in the top 10% of her class from Kashmere High School, ranking #13 in the Class of 1995 and being crowned Miss Kashmere 1995. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston and her MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. Always being dedicated and driven to be a life-long learner, she earned a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.
Career
Farrah serves as the Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications for Broward County Public Schools (BCPSP, the sixth-largest school district in the U.S. Farrah has served in the capacity of teacher, teacher leader, assistant principal, intern principal and district administrator for over 21 years in BCPS. She leverages her business acumen and passion for education to provide strategic direction, enhance communication, and support educational excellence across the district.
Organizations & Athletic Involvement
At Kashmere, Farrah was a cheerleader, serving as co-captain her senior year. She was also an active athlete, playing as a guard on the basketball team and running track and field, where she learned invaluable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and commitment that continue to influence her today.

Kashmere instilled in Farrah the value of resilience, teamwork, and discipline. These qualities have been essential throughout her career, allowing her to thrive as a leader in education and positively impact student achievement.
Mentors and Coaches
She attributes her love for sports and leadership to her mentors, Coach Dunham (basketball/track), Coach Lester (track) and Coach OโGilvie (basketball), who inspired her to strive for excellence and enjoy the process.
