Garrett Limbrick

 

Garrett Limbrick attended Kashmere Junior & Senior High School, which was located on Hirsch Rd. at Kelly in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Kashmere Rams Senior High School Football Team, which was District Champs in 1965, under the direction of coaches Billie Matthews, Aaron Jackson and Tom Hendricks. Garrett a two-year varsity letterman was selected to play in the PVIL All Star game in 1966 as a member of the East squad. He also was a member of the Track Team, Basketball Team and Swimming Team, before graduating from Kashmere Gardens Senior High School in 1966.

In 1991, I was one of 4 people chosen to go to London, Germany, UK to purchase new cranes for the Barbourโ€™s Cut Terminal Port Houston. I designed the inside of the crane cab, suitable for all cranes in the south, which are still being used today. I retired from Local 24 Longshoreman Association as a Ship-to-Shore Paceco Crane Operator after 51 years of service in 2015. I am a member of Lyons Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 3215 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX 77020, under the leadership of Senior Pastor William Anthony Jordan. Married to Alice Limbrick, we have six children and thirteen grandkids.

Individually, we as former student-athletes and cheerleaders personify Kashmere traditions and are an integral part of the ongoing success of our current program. As former students weโ€™re a part of this legacy and KFAA greatly value your contribution to our history. It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school. KFAA will develop partnerships and apply our energies and resources toward a better athletic program.
