Jesse Lamb, Jr.

Jesse Lamb Jr, a 1970 graduate of Kashmere High School was a multi-talented student-athlete participating and lettering in football, track, and basketball, also was a member of swimming team when he was at Kashmere Gardens Jr. Sr. High School. In football he was one of Shelton Zenon primary target in route to a 12-1 record their senior year. One of my most gratifying athletic accomplishments as a player was on Coach Billie Matthewsโ€™s most successful team and Kashmereโ€™s first undefeated and untied regular season. He would also get a life lesson that year, which was, the best team doesnโ€™t always win as the 12-0 Rams were defeated by Beaumont Hebert in a rain soaked contest. He believes to this day on a dry field we wouldโ€™ve advanced to the state quarterfinals and represented the city of Houston. His coaches were track Tom Hendricks, basketball Weldon Drew, swimming Mr. Robertson and Billie Matthews in football.

My job employment included a machinist at Cameron Iron, and a driver with Rapid Transit. Iโ€™m a member of Willing Workers Baptist Church. I have one brother Freddie who also played football at Kashmere and graduated in 1972.My wife is Cassie Jackson-Lamb; I have 4 sons Kevin, Keith, Jesse III, and Joshua, 4 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
