Joseph Rollins, Sr.

Joseph Rollins, Sr. is a native Houstonian, born the fifth of seven children to Leonard B. and Laura Bell Rollins. He is the proud father of three amazing children — Joseph Jr., Jasmine Christina, and Kingston Joseph.

A 1984 graduate of Kashmere Senior High School, Joseph was a standout student-athlete in football. He was part of Kashmere’s first freshman class, playing both offense and defense on an undefeated 9–0 team coached by Joel North. He later became a three-year starter and All-District player under the legendary Coach Johnny B. Felder, Sr.

Joseph earned a full athletic football scholarship to Lamar University, where he was a three-year starter and received an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement. He then continued his education at Texas Southern University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Work.

Professionally, Joseph served as a Renal Social Worker at The Southeast Kidney Center of Texas and has also been a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses in the Houston and Baytown areas — including The Grand Room North and The Downtown Grand Room.

Joseph currently serves as a Minister at The Greenhouse International Church under the pastoral leadership of his 1984 Kashmere football teammate, Pastor E.A. Deckard, and Co-Pastor Sandra Norris-Deckard. He is also an active leader in the GMEN Ministry, which focuses on developing and encouraging men to become godly men of valor. Joseph embraces every chapter of his journey and lives by the truth that: “Life may have many quarters, but your life is not defined by just one.”
