Lenny Dobbins

Lenny Dobbins was born and raised in Slaton, TX April 1st, 1964, until the age of 13 yrs. old.  Lenny Dobbins and family moved to Houston, Texas in 1977.  Lenny attended 7th grade at Terrell Junior High School.  Lenny played football for Terrell (as a running back position) in his 8th grade year JV and also Varsity in 9th grade year and made 1st team all-district running back. In 1980 Lenny attended his 10th year at Kashmere Senior High School. Lenny Dobbins played Varsity football as a freshman at Kashmere.  Lenny Dobbins played football as a junior at Kashmere and made 1st team all-district running back.  Lenny also played football in his senior year and made 1st team all-district, team record was 7-3.  Lenny played under the leadership of an outstanding Head Coach Johnny B. Felder. Lenny Dobbins class favorite was Science.  Lenny was well known and listed in the Houston Chronicles and the Houston Post newspaper throughout his senior year at Kashmere Senior High School.  Lenny was named two-time player of the week and was recognized by KCOH radio station.  Lenny received numerous letters from well-known colleges and universities. Lenny went on to graduate from Kashmere Sr. High School in 1983 and attended University of District of Columbia until 1984. After returning from college a couple of years later Lenny reunited with sweetheart K-Ram Alumni Clara Hayes in 1986.  Lenny & Clara joined hands in matrimony in 1996 and happily married to this very day.  Lenny and Clara have two proud sons, Damian (wife Cheyanne), grandson baby Julian and Tyrone (wife Jennifer), and grandson Lil Tye, granddaughters Jayla, Jennell & Jennifer.

Individually, we as former student-athletes and cheerleaders personify Kashmere traditions and are an integral part of the ongoing success of our current program. As former students we’re a part of this legacy and KFAA greatly value your contribution to our history. It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school. KFAA will develop partnerships and apply our energies and resources toward a better athletic program.
