Ruben E. Moore

Ruben E. Moore a native of Houston and graduate from Kashmere Gardens Senior High School in 1968. Ruben was a standout student-athlete and a two-year varsity athlete. โ€œMoโ€ was voted to All City and All District Basketball Team as a senior.  Prior to graduation, he received scholarship letters from Houston Baptist, University of Texas Arlington, Villanova, and Lon Morris Junior College.  Mr. Moore decided to attend Lon Morris with a full basketball scholarship.  He graduated with an associate in Physical Education.  He enrolled at Texas A&I as a walk- on before transferring to Prairie View A&M University to pursue his Bachelorโ€™s Degree.  Mr. Moore began his teaching career at Forest Brook High School.   After a year, he began his career at Southern Pacific Railroad where he retired in 2009.  Mr. Moore is the proud father of three daughters Karen Lynell Jackson, Scharika Jones-Freeman, and Elizabeth Nichols-Jones.  He also has four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Individually, we as former student-athletes and cheerleaders personify Kashmere traditions and are an integral part of the ongoing success of our current program. As former students weโ€™re a part of this legacy and KFAA greatly value your contribution to our history. It is KFAA hope to preserve and celebrate the athletic heritage and tradition of this great school. KFAA will develop partnerships and apply our energies and resources toward a better athletic program.
