Michael Anderson

Michael (Mike) Anderson was born January 30 1980 in the great city of Houston, Texas. He was the second child born to Exie Pearl Rodgers (Her first of 3 boys). As a kid, Mike was always active. If he wasnโ€™t running around the house chasing his brothers, John and Skip, he was finding the most unsafe thing to climb to turn flips. When he was 8 years old, his mother would let him attend a local little league football practice. This wouldย be where the legend of Mike Anderson began. In his first season of organized football, his team Studiewood Cobras went undefeated. Not allowing a single point all season. This inspired Mike so much that football became his everything. He would go on to grow into one of the top talents in the city. In 1996 faith would have it that Mike would become a Kashmere Ram! This was made possible when he moved to Kashmere Garden with his stepmom (Anita King).ย

Kashmere was a breath of fresh air for Mike! After tragically losing his biological mother the previous year, he needed something to help him get back on track. Football would be the perfect fix! Under the leadership of Coach Kirby Jones, Gary Dunham, Johnny Gant, Thomas Lester, and Coach Mitchell, Mike was able to regain his passion and purpose for the game he loved so much. In his junior year Mike would make his season debut as a two way player. On defense starting at Middle Linebacker and on offense sharing the Tailback work load with the talented backfield of Rovas Fountain and Mark Harris. The trio led district 22-4A in rushing, earning Kashmere a District Championship. Mike Anderson went on to earn all district honors on both sides of the ball, while also racking up Defensive Player of the Year in district 22-4A. During his senior season he continued his defensive prominence racking up another Defensive Player of the Year Honor,  this time in District 19-4A. Mike Anderson would go on to win a slew of team individual awards. He ended his career as a three sport letterman. In track he ran first leg on the 4×100 meter relay. He also played varsity soccer.  Sports were not all that Michael excelled in. He was also a member of the Kashmere Choir, under the leadership of Mother Joan Hubert. After high school, Mike attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa Alabama, where he played football for 2 years. He then went on to play Semi-Pro for the Texas Colts.

Today heโ€™s a devoted husband. He and his beautiful wife Courtney lives in Humble Texas. He has one son (Jaedon Baxter) and many other souls who God has trusted him with. He is the owner of Converted World Logistics which serves the greater and surrounding areas of Houston and San Antonio Texas. Mike is an ordained minister, serving as youth pastor of Jehovah Rapha House of Healing Church. Where Pastor Roy Washington Jr is presiding pastor. Mike also serves as their Choir director for his church. (Thank you Mrs Hubert) He would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Nora West, Anita Shaw, Anita King, Linda Douglas, Rosalind Chew and to all the Coaches and friends who helped him make it along the way. Thank you
